When a dog is brought into the workplace, the atmosphere changes, and people are drawn to meet and play with the dog, often leading to joyful interactions. During this time together, they share oxytocin, which is typically linked to warm, fuzzy feelings and has been shown in some research to lower stress and anxiety. Oxytocin has the power to regulate our emotional responses and pro-social behaviors, including trust, empathy, gazing, positive memories, processing of bonding cues, and positive communication. This positive environment is what Bluepaw aims to promote in workplaces by encouraging the presence of dogs.

Blue Paw comes with a background of over 25 years of trauma experience from the Blue Light Emergency services. Police officers, both serving and retired, who have experienced major incidents including rail crashes and more recently, terrorist incidents, provide moving real-life personal presentations about how trauma affected them and how they live with PTSD and overcame their own mental health challenges. Blue Paw can help enhance your company's and organization's wellbeing by being present at conferences, meetings, and team-building events.
Additionally, Blue Paw is available for one-to-one personal support. Engaging in open and honest conversations while enjoying a walk in the open air with a dog at the end of the lead can be incredibly therapeutic. We specialize in experiencing and managing the short and long-term effects of trauma, PTSD, depression, and stress.
We can offer a wide variety of support to all companies, as we understand that stressful and traumatic events can occur in any given setting.
